NEW DELHI, Mar 9: Prices of barley and maize rose by Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale grains market today on pick up in demand against restricted arrivals from producing belts.
Marketmen said pick up in demand from consuming industries against limited arrivals from led to rise in barley and maize prices.
In the national capital, barley and maize rose by Rs 20 each to Rs 1,400-1,420 and Rs 1,500-1,510 per quintal respectively.

Wheat MP (deshi) 2,060-2,260, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,585-1,590, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,590-1,595, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 210, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 210, Roller flour mill 830-850 (50 kg), Maida 900-940 (50 kg) and Sooji 970-1,000 (50kg).
Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,000, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 7,400-7,500, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 6,600-7,300, Permal raw 2,150-2,250, Permal wand 2,425-2,475, Sela 3,500-3,600 and Rice IR-8 1,750-1,800, Bajra 1,430-1,435, Jowar yellow 1,450-1,500, white 2,250-2,450, Maize 1,500-1,510, Barley 1,400-1,420, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
