JAMMU, Nov 15: BJP senior leader and JMC councillor, Sanjay Kumar Baru pressed the UEED for the early completion of ongoing deep drain work from Bohri Chowk to Santra Morh Nallah via KC Hazuribagh during the tour at Hazuribag, Bohri in Jammu West constituency.
Baru was accompanied by Executive Engineer, Shiv Kumar Gupta, other officials from the UEED, BJP local leaders and office bearers of Bohri Hazuribagh, Market Association.
While speaking to the media persons Baru said the construction work of this deep drain with an estimated cost of Rs 4.5 crore from Dewan Breweries Bohri Chowk via Hazuribagh up to Santra Morh Nallah in Ward-41 was allotted last year and delayed due to certain reasons especially due to Covid-19 second wave and heavy rains in last Monsoon season.
Sanjay Baru further said that the development in Jammu on the micro level has always been on the agenda of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Union Government whose mantra is “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas”. As advocated by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the BJP activists are dedicatedly taking developmental tasks to the doorsteps of the common masses. He also discussed the issues concerning the present work with the local residents on the occasion.
Shiv Kumar Gupta ensured the Councillor that construction work from Dewan Breweries Bohri Chowk via Hazuri Bagh up to Santra Morh Nallah will be completed within the next two months, which meets the needs of the common masses. He said that the total length of the project will be 1365 meters and the project will cover near about half of Ward 41. The main areas to be covered are Bohri, Colonel Colony, Surya Vihar, and old and New Hazuribagh.
Bohri and Hazuribagh Market Association president Nishal Sawhney and local residents of these localities appreciated the work done by the local councillor in Ward-41.
UEED AEE Amarjeet Singh, JE Anoop Singh, BJP leaders Rakesh Sharma, Bubesh Thappa, Naresh Gupta, Ashish Mangotra, K.L Sharma, BMA president, Nischal Sawhney, general secretary, Pyare Lal Mawa, Sanjeev Sharma, Daloo Gupta, Sikander, Kali Bhagat local BJP leaders and prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
