JAMMU, Dec 19: BJP senior leader and former JMC councillor Ward-41, Sanjay Kumar Baru accompanied by BJP district vice president, Jaideep Sambyal, Shakti Kendra Pramukh, Bubesh Sharma toured and inspected the ongoing construction work of drains and paver tiles on which an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh will be incurred in Ward-41 of Jammu West Constituency.
Giving the information about development works, Sanjay Baru said that his dream project, widening and upgradion of Hazuri Bagh main road, expansion of Bohri Chowk and especially the 1350 meters long deep drain from Bohri to Santra Morh is completed with recently black topping.
Baru, while speaking on the occasion, stressed that Jammu city is witnessing first ever massive development in the last many years. He attributed this development to the dedication of Prime Minister under whose leadership Union Government has taken multiple steps to ensure multi-pronged development approach in the Jammu & Kashmir. Steps have been taken to attract new investments into the region that were devastated by terrorist violence and political neglect for decades resulting in slow industrial growth and lack of employment.
“Modi Government’s efforts were meticulously augmented by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) in the last five years. All the stakeholders in the JMC worked hard to beautify Jammu and to provide all the basic and smart facilities to its residents. In the last five years, stress was laid on improving the sanitation services, door-to-door garbage collection, adequate repair/ construction of roads/lanes/drains, installation/ repair of streetlights, clean drinking water, electricity with proper voltage and other services. The aim is to make Jammu stand tall in the list of all the cities”, he said.
During the tour, local residents appreciated Councillor for his efforts for upgradation and widening of Hazuri Bagh road and expansion of Bohri Chowk by cutting the tree and removing the electric poles.
BJP leaders Jatinder Khajuria, Vinod Wazir, Onkar Verma, Vinay Kumar, Angrez Singh, Dr. Vijay Parmoo, Kulbir Chib, Anil Radhey, Babu Ram and others also accompanied former JMC Councillor during the tour.
