JAMMU, Sept 15: Continuing with developmental activities in his Ward, BJP senior leader and JMC councillor , Sanjay Baru, along with Mandal president, Keshav Chopra, JE PHE, Kulbir Singh, JMC, JE (Works), Shabab Malik, Booth No. 49 president, Babu Ram, kick started the work for laying of new water supply pipes in Lane 2 of Anand Nagar and construction of drain in Colonel Colony.
Both these works will approximately cost Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs ten lakh respectively.
Sanjay Baru, on the occasion, said that during the last about five years, a number of development projects have been undertaken in the entire length and breadth of the Ward and today it is not less than a Model Ward of Jammu city.
Sanjay Baru said that one of the big achievements for the convenience of the public is that door to door garbage collection vehicles have been provided for the Ward.
“Soon the people will have the facility to travel in e-buses which are going to be started under Smart City Poject. These will be eco-friendly, pollution free vehicles. He assured the people of the Ward that every effort is being made to ensure that no area is deprived of benefits of various welfare schemes too and they reach the deserving sections of the society.”
