JAMMU, Jan 9: Senior BJP leader and JMC councilor Ward-41, Sanjay Kumar Baru today organized a meeting of permanent residents and BJP workers at Hazuri Bagh, Bohri and presented his report card of various developmental works executed in his Ward after completion of three years tenure as JMC councilor.
Addressing the gathering, Baru said under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, development works are witnessed in full swing after 73rd and 74th amendment in JK (UT). He said that during his three years tenure as Ward councilor, he has planned, executed and completed various development works like construction of a number of deep drains, lanes, paver tiles and black topping at an estimated cost of over Rs 10 crore which he got sanctioned for the Ward.
For the upgradation of electrical infrastructure in the Ward 14 new 100kv and 250kv transformers were installed and old wires replaced by newly covered cables at Pattapaloura, Shanti Vihar, Priyadarshini lanes, Patta Chungi, Suryavihar, Anand Nagar and HazuriBagh.
He also got replaced old dysfunctional drinking water pipes with new ones to ensure safe and clean water supplies.
BJP district general secretary, Karan Sharma said that Bharatiya Janata Party is committed for the all-round development. Another district general secretary of the party, Rajesh Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by BJP Ward-41 president, Ashok Wazir.
On the occasion Puran Chand Atri, Mohan Lal Gupta, Dr.Subash Gupta, Dr.Sanjay, Krishan Lal, Yashpal Shivgotra, Atul Chopra, Arun Dubey, Rajesh Saini, Chunnilal Raina, Anuj Soni, M.K Zutshi, Rakesh Sharma, Bubesh Thappa, Jugal Kishore, Jangjeet Singh, Naresh Gupta, Jatinder Khajuria, Raman Koushal, Vijay Gupta, Harish Dutta, and other prominent citizens were also present who said Baru made all out best possible efforts to mitigate the grievances of common masses and fulfilled their genuine demands in a planned and phased manner to make Ward 41 best Modern Ward in Jammu Municipal limits.
