JAMMU, Oct 31: Continuing efforts on providing a clean and virtuous ambience to the residents of Ward-41, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and local JMC councilor, Sanjay Kumar Baru along with Mandal president, Keshav Chopra, Ward president, Ashok Wazir, Brijesh Gupta, Jatin Sethi and others started the construction work of culverts and repair of drains at Colonel Colony Bohri in Ward-41.
Sanjay Kumar Baru said that in the last four years this region has witnessed a massive facelift by means of various developmental works. He said that the construction of various developmental projects is apace and on completion of these schemes, it will change the total outlook of the area.
Remembering Vallabh Bhai Patel on the occasion, he said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has accomplished his dream by unifying J&K in total with the rest of India.
Pertinent to mention here that in this specific area of Ward 41 i.e. Colonel Colony culverts blockage is a frequent nuisance subsequently causing chaos during all rainy seasons for locals since long due to poor drainage system .
Baru said that this development work is sanctioned with estimated cost of Rs 6 lakhs and would be executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).
Speaking on the occasion, Baru said that the Colonel Colony locality was constructed in the early nineties but since then there was no proper drainage system.
