JAMMU, June 24: Barwala Sadar Sabha held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Biru Ram and Sham Lal at village Dhaunchak, block Khour, wherein community related matters were discussed.
During the meeting, the speakers lambasted the Government for its step-motherly behaviour towards their community people.
They alleged that the elected representatives of block Khour never worked for the up-liftment of the Barwala community and restricted them to just hand pumps and sewing machines to keep their vote bank intact.
There is compulsion to change the guard in the coming election and the people living near LoC may be shifted to urbanized places to earn livelihood, they added.
Among others present were Gopal Dass, Kali Dass, Rattan Chand, Dewan Singh, Sanjay Radha, Ajay Kumar and Tarseem Lal.
