SRINAGAR: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Syed Basharat Bukhari today convened a meeting to review the progress of various construction projects, schemes and works pertaining to Department being executed across the State.
Secretary Law Abdul Majid Bhat, Managing Director JKPCC, MD Housing Board, Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir & Jammu, besides concerned officers from JKPHC, High Court and Law department attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the Minister took stock of the physical and financial status of projects and works of law department being taken-up across state by executing agencies viz Housing Board, R&B, JKPCC. The works include construction of District Court Complexes and Munisif Court Complexes at various locations, filling of ICT infrastructure gaps at High Court Srinagar and Jammu, besides security infrastructure augmentation works for High Court Complexes.
Directing all executing agencies for time bound completion of ongoing projects, the Minister asked the Deputy Commissioners concerned including DC Leh, Bandipora and Budgam for an early resolution on land acquisition, other disputes leading to undue delays in execution of these projects.
With regards to the pace of work on construction of new Assembly Complex, supporting infra at Jammu, Bukhari directed for constitution of a technical committee to oversee the procurement and installation of electric systems, PA systems at the complex.
Bukhari further said that he will be conducting spot visits at District Court Complex Srinagar Moominabad, Handwara Court Complex in the coming days.
