JAMMU, Oct 30: Apni Party’s provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh has flayed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for its alleged inability on all developmental fronts.
Addressing a workers meeting in Sidhra, he expressed serious concern of deplorable condition of interior roads, irregular drinking water and unscheduled electricity cuts in the area.
The meeting was organised by provincial president Apni Trade Union, Raj Kumar Sharma in which many people had joined Apni Party in presence of Manjit Singh.
He said that people are left to face problems while JMC claims that it has uplifted the living standard of people by providing them better development.
“The lanes and drains are in worse condition. Shockingly 70 percent of the population is deprived of drinking water supply of Jal Shakti Department,” Singh said after hearing grievances of the people who informed him that JMC has not provided them any kind of facility and majority of the people are compelled to buy drinking water privately.
Raj Kumar Sharma also spoke on the occasion and said that the poor and marginalized section of society is the main sufferer.
“The people of this area have raised their demands before the concerned authorities but they hardly pay any heed,” he said.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were additional general secretary (organisation), Arun Kumar Chibber; State president Apni Trade Union, Ajaz Kazmi; provincial president youth, Vipul Bali and others.
