JAMMU, Nov 18: JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra has asked the block presidents of the party to defend the basic idea of India, which is under attack by BJP-RSS combine in present times more vigorously than ever before.
Addressing the block presidents of various districts of Jammu region here today JKPCC chief said that the Congress philosophy is based on the basic idea of India, which believes in unity in diversity. The basic idea of India is under attack by BJP -RSS combine & other communal & divisive forces which is dangerous for the unity of pluralistic India.
Karra told the block presidents that they are the back bone of the party and the most important functionaries of the party at grassroot level. He told them defending and promoting the Congress philosophy means defending and promoting the idea of India and India itself.
PCC chief today held a day long interaction with the block presidents of various district of Jammu region including Jammu Urban, Jammu Rural, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Sunderbani in Rajouri. The interaction lasted for over five hours in which the PCC president took the feedback about the organizational affairs and party structure at the grass root level. He listened to the views of each and every block presidents and assured them take necessary steps to strengthen the organization. He asked the block heads to concentrate on the booth level committees and Haqla Panchayat.
Karra said that it is the prime duty of Congress party and its workers in every nook and corner of the country to counter the fake and false propaganda of the BJP-RSS against basic idea of India and against secular ideology being promoted by our leadership.
He told them that they hold the key to strengthen the grass root organization besides spreading the ideology of the party and the message and programmes of the leadership.
PCC leader said that the Congress philosophy is based on the basic idea of India which believes in unity in diversity as propounded by our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Moulana Azad and Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
