Basic resuscitation course conducted at GMC Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 11: Eighth basic resuscitation course was conducted today at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu.
This was a part of bimonthly program being conducted by the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Medicine under patronship of Dr Shashi Sudhan (Principal and Dean, GMC Jammu.
Dr Anju Jamwal (Professor and Head, Department of Anesthesia) is chairperson of the course, Dr Abdul Ghani (Professor, Department of Orthopedics) is convener and Dr Reenu Wakhloo (Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesia) is the nodal officer of the course.
Other faculty for the course included Dr Anjali Mehta, Dr Arti Mahajan, Dr Jasmeen Choudhary, Dr Neha Sharma, Dr Santosh Rajput, Dr Kunal Sharma and Dr Heena Gupta.
This course is aimed at saving life in critical time and target was to train all the staff members of GMC Jammu. Today’s course was dedicated course for nursing staff where more than 30 senior staff nurses including supervisor sisters and incharge sisters took part.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma emphasized the importance of this course and directed all the senior staff nurses to make this a mandatory course for all the nursing and paramedical staff.
