This has reference to ‘5-day Basohli miniature painting camp concludes’ DE Apr 18.
The world famous Basohli miniature paintings have a special place in the world of paintings. This form of art, however, has fallen on bad days as it did not get the deserved patronage from concerned quarters.
To keep this art form alive and throbbing, it is essential that artists involved with this art form are extended every possible help. This art form needs to be given wide publicity through electronic and print media, so that art lovers could purchase them at suitable prices.
More and more camps be held every year to enable this art reach vast sections of society. Besides, the Government should make arrangements for marketing it in foreign countries. All public buildings should have provisions for having them on the building walls.
The artist community be encouraged by way of awarding them from time to time.
