Batwal Association demands share in reserved MBBS seats

JAMMU, May 21: Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Sat Pal Lakhotra and demanded share in reserved quota of MBBS seats for medical students belonging to the Batwal community.
While addressing the meeting, Lakhotra said that Government has done nothing for the Batwal community people, which constitutes large segment of population in the State.
“Their community has not been given any representation in any forum by the Government, he said, adding that sub-categorization of scheduled castes is the only solution to their grievances.
Among others present were RL Kaith, general secretary, Captain Raja Ram Kaith, Chairman, Panchayat Judicial Committee, Captain Om Parkash Taga, Captain Ram Lal Sargotra, etc.
