JAMMU, Mar 6: Shri Bawa Bhair Devsthan Trust here today organized a function at Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) in which the annual calendar for the year 2024 was released by senior BJP leader and chief of Tawi Andolan, Chander Mohan Sharma.
President of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, Ved Parkash Sharma; Subash Shastri, president NMC; B.S Jamwal, ex DC and Gurdas Sharma, general secretary Jammu Yatri Bhawan were also present on the occasion.
Senior member DBPS, P.C Sharma presided over the function which started with chanting of Mantras and Shlokas.
The function was attended by prominent citizens and pilgrims from various parts of Jammu city and from village Aitham, Soura, Kattal Battal apart from village Bhair.
Trustees and associated members of Baba Bhair Devsthan Trust including Balwant Singh, chairman; Ramesh Sharma, general secretary; Ritiz Khajuria, Rajesh Bargotra, Raman Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma, Om Parkash Sharma, ex-Sarpanch Kirpal Singh, Girdhari Lal, Dina Nath, ex-Panch Pritam Singh, Rohit Sharma, Abhinash Sharma, Subash Sharma, Davinder Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Kishor Kumar Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion different speakers urged the J&K Government to bring the shrine of Baba Bhair Dev on tourism map and upgrade facilities there for smooth pilgrimage for the pilgrims from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana and Delhi who visit the shrine annually.
They demanded drinking water, power and medical facilities at the shrine along with a road under PMGSY scheme.
