BBIA delegation interacts with Commissioner Secretary Forest

JAMMU, Mar 12: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association, led by BBIA president, Lalit Mahajan, met Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Forest Department to discuss the various issues related to the Pollution Control Board in respect of Industrial Sector.
During the Course of discussion, Mr Mahajan expressed reservations over non inclusion of Chairman Federation of Industries, Jammu/Kashmir in the Pollution Control Board inspite of the fact that Industrial Sector is the real stake holder in respect of issues related to the department.
The other issues, deliberated in the meeting,  included online issuance of Consent to establish/operate, one time issuance  of Consent to establish till the PMT of the unit, renewal of Consent to operate as per the directives of the Central Pollution Control Board, reduction in the Fees for obtaining Consent to Establish/ Operate, delegation of Powers to Regional Directors for the renewal of Consent to operate for Orange category, exempt the unit holder for obtaining NOCs in respect of DG set,  time bound schedule for the clearance of files which were discussed in detail.
The Principal Secretary, accompanied by Abdul Razak, Chairman, Pollution Control Board and Vasu Yadav, Member Secretary, gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to resolve the issues on priority basis. The meeting was also attended by other officials of the Pollution Control Board Department.
