BBIA delegation takes up issues with Commissioner CT

JAMMU, Feb 19: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) met the Commissioner Commercial Taxes Department and discussed with him the issues related to the industrial sector here today.
The BBIA members led by senior vice president, Rakesh Bhat and general secretary Lalit Mahajan during meeting with the Commissioner, highlighted various issues related to the industrial sector, which included exemption of entry tax on industrial equipments like EOT Crane, Fork Lifts, Pallet Trucks etc. widely used for the material handling in the industrial units.
The department has classified these items under earth moving equipment, exemption on entry tax on spares and consumables, green channel for industrial sector, 27×7 clearance of goods and installation of full body truck scanner at Lakhanpur check post.
The Commissioner, gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation to resolve the issues related to the industrial sector on priority basis and also assured to take up matter with the concerned Deputy Commissioner to resolve the issues related to Lakhanpur check post for speedy clearance of goods.
The meeting was also attended by Sidharth Dogra, J L Gupta, P S Jaggi- all Executive Committee members of BBIA.
