BBIA demands extension centre of MSME Tool Room Ludhiana

JAMMU, Mar 15: Bari  Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA),  president, Lalit Mahajan  has demanded extension centre of MSME Tool Rool Ludhiana at Jammu till the setting up of full fledged Central Tool Room at Jammu.
Mahajan, who attended the 75th Governing Council meeting of MSME Tool Room Ludhiana on Wednesday, raised the issues with the Chairman of Governing Council in respect of problems being faced by the Industrial Sector of J&K due to non-availability of requisite infrastructure with the MSME DI-Jammu office for providing specialized services for the manufacturing of special Tools/Moulds for units engaged in the manufacturing of Plastics, Pharmaceuticals  and other related products.
It was also brought to the notice of Chairman, that since the Extension Centres already working under the control of CTR Ludhiana at Nilokheri, Karnal, Faridabad in Haryana which is providing skill training in specialized field to the youths it is the need of the hour to open the Extension Centre at Jammu to create infrastructure for providing skill training to the local youth of J&K & to provide door step facility to the local industries.
Further, it was also brought to the notice of Chairman that at present MSME Tool Room Ludhiana is providing skill training in the specialized field for short/ long term courses with the residential facilities for the prospective students where as no participation is reported from the J&K State since long. The Chairman issue on spot directions to the General Manager, CTR to take up the matter with the J&K Govt to provide opportunities for short term/ long terms courses to the youth of J&K.
BBIA urged upon the Industries Minister Chander Parkash to intervene into the matter and take up issue with the Govt of India, for the establishment of Extension Centre of MSME Tool Room Ludhiana at Jammu till the establishment of Central Tool Room in Jammu.
