JAMMU, Dec 6: Bari Brahmana Industries Association today took up the issues of traffic jams at SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana and certain other areas creating problems for the industrialists and other people in general.
Dushyant Sharma, Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural along with JS Sumbria DSP Traffic Rural visited BBIA Bhawan to discuss the issue in respect of frequent traffic jams reported specially during evening hours at SIDCO Chowk Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana.
While interacting with SP Traffic, Lalit Mahajan, president, BBIA highlighted the serious issue related to frequent traffic jam which is occurred in the Industrial Complex on daily basis due to which the unit holders as well as general public face great hardship during peak hours between 5 pm to 7 pm.
Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural, listened all the issues highlighted by the president of BBIA and other members assured the Association that the department will take all possible measures to stop traffic Jams in future and the necessary instructions in this regard were passed on to DSP for the action.
During discussions, it was decided that there will be “no entry” of heavy vehicles from Industrial Complex towards SIDCO Chowk, Bari Brahmana between 5 pm to 7 pm with immediate effect. Further, it was also decided to shift the Matador Stand from main chowk Bari Brahmana to some other suitable place and Traffic Police should not allow the parking of vehicles in and around SIDCO Chowk for the free movement of traffic.
The meeting was also attended by Rahul Bansal- senior vice president, Ajay Langer- general secretary, Viraaj Malhotra- secretary/ treasurer and other members of the Association.
