JAMMU, June 15: Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) has expressed strong resentment over the unscheduled power cuts being imposed by the PDD authorities in the Industrial area.
A meeting of the BBIA was held here today under the presidentship of Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Tarun Singla, Ajay Langer, Viraaj Malhotra, Rajesh Jain, Vivek Singhal and others to discuss the issue of frequent unscheduled power cuts in the Industrial complex, Bari Brahmana for the last about 15 days.
The members raised serious concern due to unscheduled power cuts in the supply of Power to BB-I & BB-II receiving stations of Bari Brahmana Industrial complex resulting the most sufferers are the Industrial units engaged in the manufacturing of plastic goods, steel products and other related products as heavy loss of material in process reported and unit holders have no option but to stop the production resulting in standstill of the Industrial activities in the Industrial Areas across the State due to which the Industrial units are suffering huge financial losses.
They pointed out that the Industrial sector is working for the manufacturing of essential goods in the State in spite of all the odds during lockdown and regularly paying huge amount on account of power dues with minimum transmission losses whereas Power Development Department failed to supply the quality power resulting great resentment amongst the unit holders.
BBIA appealed to the Baseer Ahmad Khan, Advisor to Lt. Governor, Rohit Kansal, Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, Ms. Yasha Mudgal, Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited to kindly intervene into the matter and issue necessary directions to the concerned officials to ensure the un-interrupted power supply to Industrial sector of J&K.
