BCC members project demands of Bishnah people

BISHNAH, June 1: A meeting of the Block Congress Committee, Bishnah was held under the chairmanship of Capt. Harshvardhan Sharma here today. The meeting was attended by the large number of Congress leaders of the constituency including the Sarpanchs and Panchs besides the office bearers and members of BCC, Bishnah. Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister was chief guest.
The speakers while highlighting the various problems being faced by the public of the whole of the constituency especially about the people living near the border said that erratic electric supply for house-hold and irrigation purposes due to the mis-management, worst position of old and rotten electric wires and insufficient electric poles has created crisis in the area.
Dilapidated condition of roads, lanes and drains in the area and non-cooperative attitude of the concerned authorities has further worsen the situation.
There is mal-functioning of the educational system in whole of the constituency as the grown-up boys and girls studying in Government Degree College are facing hardships for want of adequate accommodation and other facilities.
Despite of the repeated demand of the people of the area to strengthen the Public Health Centers and Sub District Hospital, Bishnah, nothing has been done so far by the authorities to mitigate the problems.
While speaking on the occasion, Gulchain Singh Charak said that he is committed for mitigating the sufferings of the people of Bishnah constituency in particular and whole of the State in general and he urged upon the Govt. to direct all the concerned departments to take immediate & necessary steps to mitigate the problems being faced by the people of the area. He also assured the public that he will take up all the issues with the concerned departments at the earliest. He further said that the Bishnah constituency is neglected for the last so many years and there is no proper and planned development in this constituency.
He appealed the party workers to gear up for the ensuing Assembly elections in the State which can be held any time during the months of October or November and start organizing the meetings at the grass root level in this respect.
