BCC protests against price hike of essentials

JAMMU, July 3: Block Congress Committee,  Nanak Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency held protest and expressed strong resentment against the Government’s failure to provide  basic amenities to the people and control price hike of the essentials.
The BCC members came out on the road at Nanak Nagar and held strong protest, raising slogans against the Government. They were also raising slogans against all the three MLAs including Speaker Kavinder Gupta and BJP state chief Sat Sharma.
They  expressed strong resentment over the unscheduled power cuts, water scarcity in Jammu city which has made the life of the people miserable.  They said  no attention is being paid by the Government representatives, who made tall claims and promises during elections but failed to deliver on the ground.
People of the State feel deceived and ignored by the ministers and MLAs  representing Jammu region. Prices of the commodities of daily use like vegetables, pulses and food items are touching sky high and poor section of the people feeling difficult to survive. Power cuts during scorching heat in Jammu has made life totally hell.
Block Congress Committee strongly protested  the failure of BJP led Government at the Centre for the price control and BJP – PDP Govt  for its inability to provide the basic amenities to the people of the State.
Block president Nanak Nagar,  S Parveen Singh was leading the protest.  The others who accompanied included Davinder Singh Sasan, Sanjay Gupta, Bharat Bhushan, Jodh Singh Soni, Anand Kishore, Lucky Singh, Vijay Kumar, Shubash Gupta, Ajay Mahajan, Balwinder Singh, Sanjay Gupta,  Onkar Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Ashwani Sethi, Parveen Basotra, Suresh Kumar, Karnail Singh, Bhupinder Kour,  Reena,  Kiran Sharma, Renu Sharma, Jaskirat Kour, Karuna,  Kiran Verma, Ashu Mehra, Prabha Salaria, Sarla Salaria, Manjeet Kour and others.
