KISHTWAR, Jan 25: Taking cognizance of the complaints poured from different quarters regarding supplying of the material component to different works under MGNREGA through vendors, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana has ordered suspension of Block Development Officer (BDO) Marwah holding additional charge of BDO Warwan, Riaz Ahmed with immediate effect.
The order issued by DDC reads that, “Whereas, on the basis of complaints pouring from different quarters enquiry was initiated through District Statistics and Evaluation Officer Kishtwar on the issue of supplying the material component to different works under MGNREGA through vendors, clear cut directions were given by DDC Kishtwar to Rural Development Department not to release or disburse the funds among the vendors for Material component under MGNREGA.
Despite of clear cut directions, the Block development Officer Marwah released and disbursed the fund among the vendors under MGNREGA for supplying Material component thereby violating the orders of District Programme Coordinator, MGNREGA (District Dev. Commissioner Kishtwar) which is a source of deep concern and invites punitive action.
Keeping in view of the above facts, DDC Kishtwar, suspended Block Development Officer Marwah holding additional charge of BDO Warwan, Riaz Ahmed with immediate orders.
Further, the Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik will initiate the enquiry into the matter and submit the report to the office of DDC by or before 10th of February 2020.
Besides, BDO Inderwal Tariq Syed Sohrawardhy shall hold the additional charge of Block Development Officer Marwah and BDO Warwan in addition to his own duties till further orders.
