SRINAGAR, Jan 18: A Bomb Disposal Squad today destroyed a bag which appeared to be suspicious found early morning along Kupwara-Kralpora road.
The bag was spotted by a Road Opening Party while carrying out routine work along the road.
The officials said that during a routine road inspection by Army personnel (ROP) of 338 Field Regiment, a red bag was spotted at the roadside near Harie area.
Officials said that accordingly, a message was communicated to which road was temporarily suspended for vehicular traffic.
After that BDS was called to determine the possibility of any explosives inside the bag, the squad destroyed the bag.
However, the presence of explosives inside the bag was not confirmed. Later, the vehicular traffic movement on the road was after remaining suspended for over an hour.
