JAMMU, May 1: Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi (BDSA) paid rich tribute to Baba Sahib Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary and to Babu Parmanand, former Governor of Haryana on his death anniversary.
In this regard a function was held at BDSA J&K Head Office in Roop Nagar in which DDC Jammu Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi was the chief guest while Yash Paul Kundal, former Minister; DDC Member, Prof. Gharu Ram; Bhushan Lal Dogra, Ex-Vice Chairman SC Advisory Board and Dr. Vijay Bhagat, secretary BDSA were guests of honour.
Different speakers while speaking on this occasion talked about the works of B.R Ambedkar and Babu Parmanand.
They said that the youth of today should follow the footsteps of these great leaders of the country and should maintain communal brotherhood so that our nation may progress to touch new heights of success.
On this occasion clothes were distributed among the poor and needy women.
