Be kind, empathetic to needy people: SSP

SRINAGAR, Sept 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, today directed police officers and jawans to demonstrate empathy and kindness towards the needy segments of society and extend a helping hand to them.
He made these remarks while addressing a gathering during the Civic Action Programme (CAP), where sewing machines were distributed to the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) of the police district Awantipora after they completed a 10-day basic tailoring course at the Welfare Centre DPL Awantipora.
“In addition, two dugouts were inaugurated at Sports Stadium Charligund,” the police said in a statement.
SSP, along with SP DAR Hilal Khaliq Bhat and SDPO Awantipora Mumtaz Ali, distributed sewing machines among the beneficiaries.
He assured the beneficiaries of all possible support from the Police department to make their lives easier and more comfortable.
SSP advised the police officers and jawans to display empathy and kindness towards the needy segments of society and to extend a helping hand.
He also encouraged the beneficiaries not to let social hindrances obstruct their paths and to remain active in pursuing their goals.
