JAMMU, Dec 28: Strongly advocating for the passage of Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Temples Bill which has since been tabled in the State Assembly, MP from Anantnag and former Minister Dr Mehboob Beg reminded the Minister of Finance Abdul Rahim Rather who had introduced the Bill as Opposition Leader for the first time in the House.
He appealed the Minister to get the Bill passed in the House to protect all religious heritages left by Pandit community in Kashmir. He in a statement issued here today said NC had made a commitment in this regard in opposition.
Dr Beg also paid tributes to late KP leader and Pandit Prem Nath Bhat who fell to bullets of militants in 1989. Terming him an asset of the Anantnag Bar Association the MP said his death has created a great vacuum which can never be filled in.
