JAMMU, Feb 19: Behari Lal Raina has been elected new president of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee (DNWC).
The post had fallen vacant after the sudden death of Roshan Lal Raina, its president.
Accordingly the prominent citizens of the colony met under the chairmanship of Chand Ji Ambardar, president Shree Durga Mandir Prabandhak Committee and nominated Behari Lal Raina, as the new president of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion were Kuldeep Raina, Prof. G L Koul, P N Raina, M K Raina, Sanjay Ganjoo, president Welfare Committee Sector 2, M K Razdan, general secretary, Welfare Committee, Dogra Nagar, Ravinder Bakshi, C L Dhar, MK Zutshi, Avtar Ji, Bal Ji Raina, PK Raina, H K Bhan, Badri Nath Bhat, P L Pandita. Besides, scores of Durga Nagar Sector one residents.
Behari Lal Raina assured the colony dwellers that he will come up to the expectations of the colony people and will work hand in hand with Sanjay Ganjoo and M K Razdan.
