JAMMU, June 15: In a decisive move to uphold academic standards and ensure accountability, the Principal of Higher Secondary School (HSS) Behrote in Thannamandi, Parvinder Kumar, has been attached to the office of Chief Education Officer (CEO) at Poonch.
This action follows a comprehensive review of the school’s recent performance in the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Class 12th examinations for the academic session 2023-24.
The examination results revealed a zero percent pass rate at HSS Behrote, Thannamandi, with none of the 13 students who appeared for the exams managing to pass. This alarming outcome prompted an immediate response from the Director of School Education, Jammu.
It was determined that Parvinder Kumar had not adequately fulfilled his academic responsibilities, contributing to the school’s poor performance. Consequently, to address this issue and strive for better educational outcomes, Kumar has been attached to the CEO office in Poonch till further orders.
This measure underscores the authorities’ commitment to enhancing the educational environment and ensuring that all students receive the quality education they deserve. The Department of Education is dedicated to take necessary steps to improve the academic standards of HSS Behrote. The swift action taken reflects the importance of maintaining high educational standards and the accountability of educational leaders, an official said.
