Srinagar, Nov 8: Former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh and his wife, Safeena Beigh, who is District Development Council Chairperson for Baramulla, visited the residence of Mehbooba Mufti at Nowgam, here today.
Beigh, his wife and minor daughter visited Mufti at Nowgam residence to inquire about the health of her ailing mother Gulshan Ara.
Surprise visit of Beigh comes at a time when there are speculations that a few leaders from North Kashmir who left the PDP a few years back may re-join the party. Those whose names figure are Haq Khan, former MP Fayaz Mir, Raja Manzoor, Yasir Reshi and Javed Baigh.
As per reports, some of these leaders are interested in bringing Beigh back into the PDP fold. However, other leaders in the PDP don’t want back into the party fold because of what they say Beigh’s proximity to BJP’s top leadership in Delhi.
