‘Complete Mini Sectt, circular road’

RAJOURI, Jan 30: A delegation of Beopar Mandal, Rajouri under the chairmanship of its president Rajesh Gupta (Bittu Shah) called on Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat and informed him about problems of Rajouri city and requested for quick solution.
Beopar Mandal president pointed out that population of Rajouri City is currently closer to one lakh therefore, the City needs proper cleanliness and management of solid waste.
He further said water supply pipelines in Rajouri are decades old and are in very poor condition. There is leakage at many places and people are getting contaminated water in some areas. There was urgent need to upgrade the existing water supply position.
Many lanes are in very bad shape. The tiles have broken and drains are not proper. Besides, there are potholes in the lanes and streets and the public is suffering. The demands for replacement of pipeline and other related issues be addressed soon.
To decongest Rajouri city, the work of circular road was started by the government about five years ago but due to unknown reasons, the work has been suspended. The work should be resumed and completed in time bound manner.
They further said due to lack of any public parking in Rajouri city, the city residents have to face problems. Moreover people coming from outside for making purchases or other works in the district or tehsil offices have to face many problems in getting any parking space. It is very urgent to create public parking slots in Rajouri city.
Mandal members further said that there was no warehouse in Rajouri city, the traders here have to face problems and this also affects their business. A demand was raised to set up a warehouse in the City.
The dream of a Mini Secretariat in Rajouri was shown many years ago but till now only one place has been identified for the purpose and this should also be completed as soon as possible.
DC listened to all the demands and assured the delegation that every possible effort would be made to fulfill all the above mentioned legitimate demands at the earliest.
