RAJOURI, Feb 5: Beopar Mandal members Rajouri today held protest against shifting of old Bus Stand in Rajouri to new location.
The protester were raising slogans in support of their demand. They said the Bus Stand was established there long ago and the whole market was set up accordingly and shopkeepers have invested a lot by upgrading their business after taking loans from different banks. They said if the Bus Stand was shifted from here whole market will get defunct and they will suffer huge losses.
They opposed the decision of Municipal Council, Rajouri regarding making old Bus Stand as parking place. They told that they have already bring it into the notice of MC Rajouri and told them not to shift Bus Stand as these shopkeepers will suffer a lot and their business establishments will suffer huge losses.
They said if MC Rajouri is not serious about them then they will take up the matter with the District Administration. They added that there are other vacant places at which parking place can be made in the city but due to unknown reasons MC Rajouri is putting their business into losses. They told if MC Rajouri wants to repair shops they will help in their decision but shifting Bus Stand isn’t justified. The shopkeepers have already suffered huge losses due to COVID 19 and shifting Bus Stand will push them further back. They appealed before District Administration to look into the matter and resolve the issue at the earliest.
