JAMMU, June 4: While allaying the fears of people intending to have the holy Amarnath pilgrimage this year, various social and religious organizations as well as representatives of State Government and Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) today said that fool proof arrangements have been made for the pilgrims this year and there is nothing to worry about arrangements as well as security of the yatra.
Addressing a joint press conference here, today Dr Surinder Jain International Joint general Secretary of VHP, Swami Dinesh Bharti a well known saint, VHP State president, Leela Karan, Rajesh Gupta Coordinator Shri Amarnath Ji yatra, VHP general secretary, Shakti Dutt Sharma, Additional DC Jammu, Arun Manhas and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, SASB, Virender Salathia said that this year’s holy Amarnath yatra will be safe, systematic and well arranged. The pilgrims will not face any inconvenience, they added. They also made it clear that all arrangements are being made keeping in view the climatic conditions, terrain and other factors.

The speakers made a fervent appeal to pilgrims to plan their yatra as per yatra registration available without any fear or apprehension as all the arrangements are being put in place for the comfort and convenience of pilgrims.
While talking to reporters Dr Surinder Jain said that the representatives of VHP and Baba Amarnath Buda Amarnath Yatri Niwas (BABAYN) had met Governor of the State, N N Vohra who is also the Chairman of(SASB), Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minster, Dr Nirmal Singh and held detailed discussions with them regarding safety and arrangements of yatra. The delegation discussed the perception among the people outside the Valley regarding the situation in Kashmir and the safety measures being adopted by the Government for the pilgrims, he added.
Dr Jain said that the delegation was assured by the Government that the yatra will be safe, well arranged and pilgrims will not face any inconvenience during the yatra. The Governor is personally monitoring the yatra arrangements and CM and Deputy CM have assured fool proof security to the pilgrims as well as complete support to the yatra from administration, he added.
He said on the suggestion of BABAYN and VHP the State Government is likely to appoint a senior Minister as in charge of yatra besides 24×7 yatra helpline will be established in Deputy CM’s Office and the administration will remain completely alert during the yatra.
Dr Jain said keeping in view the religious significance of this holy yatra every Shiv Bhakt has a deep desire to have blessings of Swami Amarnath Ji. VHP and BABA Niyas therefore appeals Shiv Bhakts to embark on yatra without any hesitation regarding arrangements and safety as workers of VHP, Niwas along with administration and SASB will provide all sort of help to pilgrims, he added.
He said this year’s yatra will be more significant because many prominent saints and Mahamandleshwars are likely to perform the yatra.
Swami Dinesh Bharti also extended his invitation to Shiv Bhakts to come to yatra in large numbers. He also explained the significance of the holy cave, the abode of Lord Shiva. He said the holy cave is abode of Lord Shiva who is always there to bless the devotees. He asked the pilgrims not to get confused or misled by some conflicting reports published in a section of media about the size of holy Lingam. The Margdarshak Mandal, the supreme body of Hindu saints is also of the same opinion, he added.
Swami Ji also appealed the pilgrims to perform yatra in a disciplined manner as all days during whole duration of yatra are equally significant and equally blissful as per Hindu Shastras.
The representative of SASB Salathia informed about various facilities being given to yatris and the opening up of one additional yatra registration counter at Leh in Ladakh for the convenience of yatris intending to visit holy cave from Leh and Drass side.
Additional DC Arun Manhas assured the pilgrims of beset facilities and security measures during the yatra.
