Better road connectivity vital for economic growth: Harsh

UDHAMPUR, Feb  25: Member Legislative Assembly, Ramnagar, Harshdev Singh inaugurated a bridge over Dugi Khad at village Kathail in Panchayat Satrari of block Majalta here today.
Constructed at a cost of Rs.22 lakh by Rural Development Department, the bridge would facilitate large number of inhabitants of adjoining areas to have access of different destinations comfortably.
On the occasion, Mr. Singh said that better road connectivity is vital for socio-economic transformation of the people of any area. He hoped that the facility of bridge in this area would go a long way in the improvement of environment for emergency care besides upgrading public transport convenience.
A large number of people from village Kathail, Satrari including women folk highlighted the problem of electricity, water and other important issues on the occasion.
Mr  Singh patiently listened to the problems put forth by the villagers and assured the people that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned department for their early redressal.
He said Ramnagar constituency is witnessing fast track development in different sectors and various schemes for the welfare of general public are being launched in a phased manner for the overall development of the area.
Mr. Harsh further assured the gathering that a number of developmental works for Panchayat Satrari which include building for MS Kathail, upgradation of Middle School Satrari to High School, construction of a road link from Gathir to Kathel would be initiated in near future which would definitely help to uplift the economic status of the people of the area.
