BGR bags contract for super critical boilers from Meja Urja Nigam

NEW DELHI, May 2: BGR Energy Systems Ltd today said it has bagged a contract from Meja Urja Nigam Pvt Ltd, a joint venture firm of state-owned NTPC and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (UPRVUNL), to supply super critical boilers.
The company has received ‘Letter of Award’ for supply of 2X660 mw boilers, to be set up at Meja in the state of Uttar Pradesh, it said in a regulatory filing.
“The order is valued at Euro 109.79 mln plus Rupee component of Rs 1,121 crore (appx 1,855 crore),” it said, adding that the contract provides for price variation with protection from foreign exchange variation risk.
The execution period of the contract is 48 months.  (UNI)
