BGSBU holds 2-day National Conference on Innovations & Advancement in IT

RAJOURI, Nov 28: Two-day National Conference on “Innovations & Advancement in Information Technology,” concluded today at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University.
On the valedictory day, Prof Vinod Sharma of University of Jammu presented talk on the importance of Information Technology and various innovations and advancement in this field.
Besides Prof Sharma, eminent guest Prof Vijay Singh Rathore of Rajasthan, Dr Mohammad Abulaish of Jamia Milia Islamia and Dr Rashid Ali of Aligarh Muslim University also presented talk on the topic.
The national conference was organized by Post Graduate Department of Information Technology in collaboration with PG Department of Computer Sciences. The conference was supported by Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) of India, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, Department of IT, Ministry of Communications & IT, GoI and University Grants Commission. Scholars from different Universities of India presented their research papers during the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal said that Information Technology has become part of day to day life and everybody should know about the recent advancement in this field so that mankind is benefited. He said that BGSBU has provided platform for scholars to discuss and deliberate and in these 2 days, they have gained knowledge about the latest advancements in science & technology.
Dean Academic Affairs Prof AK Koul, Dean of Mathematical Sciences & Engineering Prof Mohammad Asghar, Controller Examination Mohammad Ishaq and Principal Polytechnic Col KK Dogra were among those present on the occasion.
HoD Information Technology Tasleem Arif was the organizing secretary of the conference while Majid Bashid Malik was the co-convener.
