RAJOURI, Mar 31: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ICT Academy that shall encompass Students Training and Placement, Faculty Development, Skill Development, Joint Research and Publications, Entrepreneurship Development, Digital Empowerment and a strong Industry Academia Interface.
Speaking on the occasion, BGSBU Vice-Chancellor Prof Akbar Masood said that such collaborations would help in fostering the ecosystem of professional development of students toward nurturing life-ready and job-ready graduates.
Prof Akbar said that he is looking forward for more such collaborations with eminent academic institutions and Industry for developing BGSB University as a centre of excellence in academics and research.
ICT Academy is an initiative of the Government of India in collaboration with the State Governments and Industries. ICT Academy is a not-for-profit society, the first of its kind pioneer venture under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) model that endeavors to train and develop the next generation of teachers and industry-ready students.
The MoU has been signed for a skill development projects named JEET – Jammu & Kashmir Employability Enhancement Training, funded by AICTE aimed to train 5000 students in Technical Institutions. Around 150 students from School of Engineering and Technology and University Polytechnic have registered for the first phase of training that will be delivered for 150 hrs during next 45 days on two important domains including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Revit Architecture.
Those who were present on the occasion included Dean School of Engineering and Technology, Prof Asif Hussain’ Registrar Mohd Ishaq, Head Department of IT Engineering Rakesh Singh Syambal and Media Advisor Dr Danish Iqbal.
Those representing ICT Academy and were present on the occasion, included Lovetesh Kumar (Project Manager), Adil Yousuf (Sr Technical Trainer) and Nowshiba Bashir (Sr Technical Trainer).
