RAJOURI, Nov 19: Engineering students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) continued their strike on 5th consecutive day today against the University administration’s failure to meet their long pending demands regarding supplementary examinations, transparency in examinations and placement of pass-out students.
They alleged that every student is charged Rs 5000 fee for On-Campus placement but not a single company has yet visited the campus. The varsity so far has failed to place even a single pass out in any company, they added.
Alleging that those students who have back log in a semester have to wait for another year to pass the aggrieved students demanded that a supplementary examination be conducted.
Till afternoon, the students protested at Sabrang Square in Campus and then march towards the administration, where they raised slogans against the varsity authorities.
The students said that they would not call off their strike till their genuine demands are accepted.
