RAJOURI, Sept 3: The teaching fraternity of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University today proceeded on indefinite strike in protest against delay in implementation of decisions, which have already been approved by the Vice-Chancellor.
The decision in this regard was taken after the meeting of Executive Committee of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Teachers Association (BGSBUTA).
“Until all the issues, which have been already resolved and duly approved by the Vice-Chancellor as per order number BGSBU/Reg/Estab/13/7290-7305 dated 02/09/2013, are not implemented by the University authorities, the strike will continue,” resolved the meet.
The members expressed their deep displeasure over the fact that the University has put the implementation of their demands like implementation of UGC norms with regard to contractual engagement of superannuated persons, rotation policy, re-designation of Teaching Assistants, study leave, career advancement scheme for teachers etc on the backburner.
