RAJOURI, Feb 12: Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, Prof Jawaid Iqbal met with a distinguished group of local academicians and educational leaders in a significant step towards fostering academic partnerships.
The meeting aimed to explore the avenues for collaboration and community engagement while addressing the evolving challenges within the academic landscape. A major highlight of the meeting was to create a regional academic network. This network would facilitate knowledge exchange which ultimately would strengthen academic alliances.
The academicians shared valuable insights and proposed several ideas to enhance academic ties. They emphasized the need for guest lectures, awareness programs and interactive sessions to help school students gain exposure to higher education opportunities. They further highlighted the importance of career guidance and subject-specific expertise from University faculty to support students in making informed academic choices.
The University leadership assured the academicians that BGSBU remains committed to fostering such collaborations. It was conveyed that the University is open to providing academic support to school students through mentorship programs, faculty visits and resource-sharing initiatives. Focus of the initiative remains on creating an inclusive academic environment where students can benefit from University resources to enhance their learning and career prospects.
Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, Registrar BGSBU and Prof M J Warsi, Dean Academic Affairs, further reinforced the University’s commitment to building strong academic partnerships with schools. The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the importance of collaboration in strengthening the education system and preparing students for future academic challenges.
