BHADERWAH, Oct 10: People of Bhaderwah held a strong protest demonstration against rising incidents of burglaries and failure of police in nabbing the thieves.
Beopar Mandal Bhaderwah in coordination with other social and religious organizations has given a call for Bhaderwah bandh, during which all shops and business establishments remained closed. The people assembled in Seri Bazar and held strong protest demonstration against the failure of police in nabbing the culprits despite several representations.
The speakers lambasted the local administration saying that while the incidents of burglaries were on rise, no policeman is seen on the streets patrolling during night hours, which has encouraged the anti-social elements to go on spree of thefts.
It is worth mentioning that during the last one month more than a dozen cases of thefts have been reported in which valuables worth lakhs and cash  has been stolen as a result the business community was feeling insecure and apprehensions were being expressed that unabated thefts could cause a big loss to them.
