BHADERWAH, Oct 6: Department of English, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, hosted an enlightening lecture by Senior Professor Bijoy Boruah, from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT Jammu on “Literature and Philosophy: Perspectives in Critical Humanities.”
In his captivating presentation, Professor Boruah, an academic authority on Critical Humanities, having around four decades of teaching and research experience, delved deep into the symbiotic relationship between literature and philosophy. He skilfully navigated through the works of renowned authors and philosophers, illustrating how literature has been a source of inspiration and philosophical reflection for ages.
With eloquence and depth, Professor Boruah underscored the enduring relevance of these two disciplines and their influence on our understanding of the human experience. His lecture invited thought-provoking discussions and reflections among attendees, showcasing the significance of Critical Humanities in contemporary academia. The lecture served as a platform for engaging dialogue and the exchange of ideas, further enriching the academic environment in the department.
Dr Rakesh Sharma, the In-charge Head of the Department, presented the welcome address and introduced Prof Boruah to the audience.
