Bhagat demands holiday on Sudh-Mahadev mela

UDHAMPUR, May 31: MLA Chenani Krishan Chander Bhagat, today demanded three days special holiday in Tehsil Chenani on account of historical mela to be held at Sudh-Mahadev.
He said that till date no holiday has been declared for this historical mela, which is to be held on 3rd, 4th and 5th of June.
Maintaining that lakhs of pilgrims from Jammu Province and also from other States are expected to visit Sudh-Mahadev and pay obeisance at Shiv Mandir Sudh-Mahadev, Mantalai, Gouri Kund and Naina Devi, the MLA said that the mela is deprived of special arrangements and attention on part of Government to facilitate national and international pilgrims.
Bhagat urged the authorities to fulfill the long pending demand of the public of Chenani by declaring Tehsil level holiday during the mela days.
