Bhagat inaugurates development works

JAMMU, Mar 24: MLA RS Pura and political advisor to State BJP president, Dr Gagan Bhagat today kick-started several developmental work in RS Pura constituency.
At Panchyat Maralia, the MLA kick started black-topping work of road from Canal Head to Maralia. The blacktopping of the Road was the longest pending demand of the locals. Meanwhile, locals also stressed for blacktopping of Horticulture Nursery road, Village Gazia road and Maralia Dak Bunglow to village Dablehar road.
Dr Gagan Bhagat assured the locals to get sanctioned funds for the said roads from the department through the concerned Minister in the coming days as soon as there will be a popular Government in the State.
In another function organized by the Rural Development Department under Swacch Bharat Mission at village Jindlehar, the MLA provided Rs 12000 each to 50 beneficiaries for constructing IHHL (Indoor Toilets) at their houses.
While addressing the villagers at Jindlehar, Dr Bhagat said that the Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narender Modi is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people especially to the people of rural area.
He also assured the gathering of West Pakistaani Refugees at Village Jindlehar that the Union Government will surely look into their matter sympathetically.
Later on, the MLA also visited Village Koulan and inaugurated a lane and drain, which was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakhs. On the occasion, he also assured that construction of an Indoor Sports Hall at Village Koulan is on top priority and soon he will release funds for the same.
He also assured the gathering that replacement of wires and damaged poles under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Jyoti Yojna will be soon taken up.
The MLA was accompanied by officers of PWD, Rural Development and SHO Miran Sahib.
