JAMMU, June 29: Former Minister Bali Bhagat today visited Raipur-Domana constituency and kick-started the construction work of Mishriwala-Tokrian Road via Pandorian under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
Construction of two and half kilometer long Mishriwala to Tokrian road will cost Rs 1.30 crores. Construction of this road was the major demand of the inhabitants connecting not only the villages between 2.5 km but also other rural areas of Block Marh.
Speaking on the occasion, Bali Bhagat said this road was the major demand of inhabitants which will provide rural connectivity to the villages of Raipur Domana constituency. Bhagat said during last four years, he worked hard for the upliftment of various panchayats in Raipur-Domana constituency. He said a 100 bedded Model Hospital and a Government Degree College is established at Bhalwal and Mishriwala respectively during this period. He further added that road connectivity of Raipur-Domana constituency was in shambles but after BJP-PDP led coalition Government came into power, macadamization in Raipur-Domana has crossed 250 km so far.
Highlighting other achievements, Bhagat said more than 448 transformers were installed in various Panchayats and Municipal Wards of Raipur-Domana constituency during the last four years to cope with problem of low voltage. He further said two vital bridges of Raipur-Domana constituency viz Nikki Tawi Bridge and Kanger Bridge have been constructed while construction work of Simbliwala as well as Mishriwala bridge are going on at Ranbir canal and Paloura-BSF Gate Bridge has also been completed.
Later Bhagat also visited Rajpura village and took stock of the loss of poultry farm caused due to fire. Bhagat also inspected the construction work of lane at Rajpura village for which 3 lakh rupees have already been released out of his CDF.
