JAMMU, July 3: The Bhalwal unit of Bhagat Mahasabha, today organized a function to celebrate 618th Parkash Utsav of Sad Guru Kabir Ji Maharaj at Village Malpur.
A large number of devotees of Sad Guru Kabir Ji from different areas of Bhalwal block participated and paid rich tributes to great saint of Bhakti movement. Satsang and Kirtan were also held on the occasion.
Bhushan Lal Dogra, Vice Chairman, SC Board, J&K State, was the chief guest where as Prof Raj Kumar Bhagat, National president, Bhagat Mahasabha, was guest of honour.
Mohinder Bhagat, State president of the Sabha and Pawan Bhagat, chairman, were also present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, they threw light on the life of Sant Kabir Ji Maharaj and appealed the Bhagat samaj to follow the teachings of the great saint and refrain from bad habits such as drinking, smoking etc. They also asserted devotees to go for dowry less marriages.
Dr Jeet Raj Bazala, Jai Kumar, Tarsem Bhagat, Sunesh Bhagat and Vivek Bhagat— all executive members of the Sabha were also present on the occasion.
