JAMMU, May 14: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Jammu Yatri Bhawan Executive Committee celebrated Lord Narsingh Dev Jayanti at Radha Krishan Temple, Peerkho.
Puran Das Bawa of temple lit the Jyoti with Pooja Archna of Narsingh Dev.
Pawan Shastri, president of Jammu Yatri Bhawan, Chetan Das Bawa, ML Dogra, Chairman Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan highlighted the history of Lord Narsingh Dev.
The renowned artists KK Joshi, Usha Raina, MC Kotwal, Kamli Devi and Neelam Gandotra of BLSKS presented devotional songs.
Earlier, devotional song Sandhya was organised, in which women and men presented devotional songs.
A grand religious function was also held at Bhagwan Narsinghji temple at Ramnagar.
Meanwhile, an impressive Shobha Yatra of Bhagwan Narsingh ji was also taken out in the town on Tuesday, in which a large number of people including women and children participated. A highly decorated chariot was prepared by the management committee of the temple and Shobha yatra amidst Nagar Kirtan was taken out. Head priest of the temple Vinod Khajuria was leading the Shobha Yatra while prominent persons of the area also participated.
The function commenced with Ramayan Path and Hawan followed by a grand Langar. Special Brass band team from Jammu and Meerut had been invited for the function. Janak Shastri, delivered religious sermons and also educated the gathering about Bhagwan Narsingh Avtar.
