JAMMU, Mar 23: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Sarsangchalak (chief), Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat will virtually address the Global Kashmiri Hindu community on second of Navreh (Navratra) falling on April 2 this year.
This was stated by Dwarikanath, secretary Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra Anand Nagar Bohri along with Maharaj Krishan Bhat, its office bearer and M K Bharat, incharge Navreh Festival celebrations while talking to reporters here, today.
They said continuing the tradition of annual Navreh celebrations this year too, the SSK, Bohri, Jammu has formulated a three day’s programme from April, 1st to April 3rd to observe the Tyaag and Shaurya Divas and urge the Kashmiri Samaj to take a pledge for returning to their Homeland on the auspicious occasion of Navreh. SSK has been celebrating the Navreh, Tyaag and Shaurya Divas with the community members and school children for many years in the past.
The Navreh celebrations will commence on 1st April- the Tyaag (Sacrifice) Divas in the memory of the Shriya Bhat, the saviour of Kashmiri Hindus. Till 14th century, Kashmir was a land of peace loving intellectuals and spiritualists, when the Valley was shrouded by the dark clouds as a result of invaders that initiated a forceful and coerced conversion of the native helpless Kashmiri Pandits.
On April 2nd, Navreh (first day of New Year) is being celebrated as Navreh Sankalp Divas. Globally all Kashmiri Hindus will take a solemn pledge in the morning while performing the ritual darshan of “Thal” that “on the name of Goddess Sharda and Rishi Kashyap, wedded to the cause of restoration of peace, to keep the tradition and culture alive, will celebrate the next Navreh in Kashmir Valley”. The entire Kashmiri Hindu community world over including men, women and children preferably attired in their traditional dresses will take the solemn pledge while performing morning rituals on Navreh day.
On April, 3 the Shaurya Divas will be celebrated in the honour of great 8th century King of Kashmir, Laltaditya Muktapida for his valour and victory over Turks and extending his kingdom from Central Asia upto Bengal in East and South India.
The Navreh celebrations will culminate with a virtual addressed by Sarsanghchalak Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat to the global Kashmiri Hindu community on April 3 at 10.30am (IST) via facebook page of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra.
