JAMMU, Dec 4: Festivities at the ancient Bhairav temple here at Chowk Chabutra in the heart of city are underway wherein the annual festival of Bhairav Ashtami will be celebrated tomorrow (December 5, 2023) with proper rituals and enthusiasm.
Mahant Rumil Sharma at Bhairav temple informed that congregation of 52 Biradiries shall be held on December 5 (tomorrow) at the temple and there shall also be Jangam Puja, Batuk Puja and finally special Aarti at 7 pm.
“Bhandara has been going on since last one week at the shrine and it will be a big feast on December 6,” Sharma said adding that decoration and beautification of the shrine was underway with latest designs and styles using flowers, buntings etc in which lighting has also been used to add colours.
The Mahant has invited people from different sections of the society to visit the temple and get blessings of the Deity.
He has also appealed to the concerned authorities to ensure proper facilities for water, cleanliness, security, electricity etc so that the annual religious function may be accomplished smoothly.
