Jammu, Mar 28 : Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC, Raman Bhalla today asked BJP and PDP to explain the delay of over two and half months, if everything was alright in the agenda of alliance or share the secret understanding in this regard with the people of the State.
Addressing party meetings at Nanak Nagar and Digiana today, Mr. Bhalla asked the BJP and PDP not to take people of the State for a ride and disclose the further secret understanding over the rights and interests of people for the sake of chair. He said that it is being realized that BJP had completely surrendered over various controversial issues, while it has been further trying to concede on various matters against the aspiration and interests of people, while maintaining a completely different public posturing to throw dust in eyes of the people
Mr. Bhalla questioned the BJP’s power sharing with PDP despite all sorts of ideological contradictions and opposite stands over the core issues of the State, especially of Jammu region.
Mr. Bhalla said that BJP has double standard on all principles and is trying to prove ultranationalist in Delhi and elsewhere while hobnobbing with those who advocate different approach in the State .
He said that this is very surprising situation which people of the state are watching, as to how both the parties are taking the people for granted and trying to keep them in the dark about the entire issue.
Mr. Bhalla said that both the parties are trying to hide their surrender and compromise on various issues of public for which they sought votes by exploiting the emotional issues of regionalism and religious sentiments. He said that the people have right to know as to what happened to the promises made by the BJP for more than six decades to the people of the state and the nation to remove the Article 370, grant citizenship to the West Pakistan refugees, sealing the borders to check any sort of infiltration and crush the militancy with iron hand by strengthening the hand of security forces.
He questioned the status of promises of BJP for smart cities ,fullfledged AIIMS, Artificial Lake ,delimitation of Assembly segments, one time settlement of PoK and West Pakistan refugees and reservation of Assembly seats for refugees and KPs and colonies for border residents etc .
