Bhalla asks workers to educate common masses about policies of Congress

JAMMU, Nov 6: Minister for Culture, Horticulture and Housing Raman Bhalla today asked the Congress party workers to gear up for the forthcoming Assembly elections and educate the common masses about the policies and programmes of the party.
Carrying pla-cards and banners of Congress, hundreds of party workers including Panchs, Sarpanchs and senior leaders took out a rally from Bhour Camp which after passing through various areas including Satwari and Nai Basti assembled outside Raman Bhalla’s house in Gandhi Nagar to express their support to Minister.
Minister while addressing the gathering assured that if his party is voted to power again, a new phase of development will be started in the Gandhi Nagar constituency as the party gives the priority to the prosperity and development of the State.
“Congress is committed to the equitable development of all three regions of J&K and in the forthcoming Assembly elections, Congress would emerge with thumping majority to form the next Government in the State to serve the people,” Bhalla added.
Minister further disclosed that Congress always stood for the welfare and upliftment of common masses and fought for their legitimate rights, adding that Congress always worked for the upliftment of the poor people and down trodden sections of the society by realizing their dreams pertaining to availability of basic facilities.
He apprised the gathering about the developmental works being carried out by the Congress party during the last six years. He said that the educational infrastructure, power and water infrastructure, road connectivity, health infrastructure, sports infrastructure, etc in every area of Gandhi Nagar constituency have witnessed large scale changes, which the people can judge of their own.
Apart from creating unimaginable infrastructural facilities across Jammu and Kashmir, Congress continued the spree of growth and development, whether it was creation of new administrative units, opening of health centres, new ITI, polytechnic, degree colleges and upgradation of various high and higher secondary schools, Bhalla added.
He asked the people to make best use of their vote in the forthcoming Assembly elections to elect honest, dedicated and people friendly representative.
The rally was organized by Sarpanch and Block President Congress Amrit Bali and attended by Naib Sarpanch Jagmohan, Sarpanch Bhour Camp West Om Parkash, Naib Sarpanch Gurcharan Singh, Gurmeet Kour, Panch Surinder Singh, Ravinder Singh, Rampal, Ajay Kumar, Lambardar Girdhari Lal, Panch Raj Kumar, Bal Krishan, Naib Sarpanch Kewal Krishan, Sarpanch Aya Singh, Master Amrik Singh, Rajinder Singh, Gurcharan Kour, Sandeep, Romesh, Parveen Kumar, Veena Sharma, Khushi Ram and Baldev Singh.
